Weddings, Portaits, Landscapes & Carnival

July 28 2012 – 2

Hello everyone, It has been too long since my last blog. Let me tell you what I have been doing  - if you haven't realised already from the image above, it is wedding season. The bride and groom were very happy with the results, you can take a look on the website in the wedding category at the bottom of the gallery page. After sending an editorial photograph of this couple to the Eastern Daily Press it then turned out that my wedding was featured in the 'Couples' supplement out this week in the EDP, Dereham Times and Fakenham and Wells Times. If you are planning your wedding and would like a chat and a free quote please contact at enquiries@coastalphotography.co.uk.                       Above are two images from separate beach portraits taken this month. The little boy with sandy toes was one of a family of four photographed on a slightly duller day but the final images were lovely and the parents were, quote: "so chuffed". Which in return makes me feel the same way. Always a pleasure to be asked to do weddings and portraits, family images which people will always treasure. Also a way to combine my love of landscapes and portraiture together. For portrait package prices or to enquire please contact as above. Portraits can be location or in the studio.   Above is the Alderman Peel High School Prom. As the official photographer on the evening again it was a pleasure to capture the students last moments together before their lives move on. The Prom was at Voewood, off the Holt/Cromer road, Norfolk, a beautiful setting and lovely gardens with a fountain. The image above, I set up the students all together before capturing. You may have seen a similar image in a local newspaper, unfortunately this was someone standing behind me and then passing it off as their own work.     Last but not least, a new image created on the Wells-next-the-Sea beach. A warm sunset, light slightly glinting on the fronts of the beach huts. Back to nature and very happy to be there on that evening. Photographs can be viewed and purchased from the website. My work is currently exhibiting at the Grapevine Gallery, Burnham Market, Picturecraft Gallery, Holt, Big Blue Sky, Wells-next-the-Sea and a few small mounted images are at Jarrolds, The Forum, Norwich - all in Norfolk. To see where I am showing work and attending please look at the events section of the website.   At the moment it is carnival time at Wells-next-the-Sea - a time with lots of people, lots of activities and people enjoying the sunshine (fingers crossed on this one). This year I have been invited to judge the photography competition for the 12 and over. This is not the first time I have judged a competition, last year I was one of the judges on the Isla Negra online photography competition, a national event which culminated in one image being used on the label of the Isla Negra wines. I look forward to seeing all the entries this year at Wells and hope you all have lots of fun taking them.   Bye for now. Janice
